Language Central Professional Development - Secondary
This one-day workshop supports teachers in the successful implementation of Language Central with an emphasis on instructional strategies, progress monitoring, and connection to core curriculum success. Participants examine the research behind the program’s focus on academic vocabulary, written and oral language, and comprehension skills.
OUTCOMES:
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Implement teaching strategies that promote the development of language skills needed for success in the core curriculum.
• Implement lessons that focus on development of vocabulary, comprehension, and written and oral language skills.
• Determine appropriate instructional plans based on student data.
